Description of Practice/Services Offered

My goal and focus in 35 years of professional practice has been and continues to be to allow you to THRIVE, not merely survive in your relationships, your work, your school, and in your sense of well being.  You and   I will work together in a nonjudgmental atmosphere that builds trust, tolerance, aliveness and curiosity. The way that I work encourages you to feel “you get me” and helps you to unburden yourself and become “unstuck” so you can truly feel free and be in your authentic self.
I work with people, 18 and above in individual and couple therapy,  who suffer from anxiety and depression, relationship problems, low self esteem and trauma related disorders including but not limited to PTSD. Many of my patients are in the creative arts. I have had extensive training in various techniques that allow me to tailor my approach to people’s needs. These include psychodynamic psychotherapy, somatic therapy, coherence therapy, accelerated experiential psychodynamic psychotherapy, parts work and EMDR.

In addition, I am a faculty advisor at Hunter College School of Social Work.  Previously I had been a field instructor.
