Dr. Manning also specializes in treating people suffering from serious physical illness, including cancer, and helping them cope with the emotional experiences that can arise in such circumstances.  This can include distress upon diagnosis, long-term adjustment for survivors, anxiety about the rigors of treatment, stage-of-life crises, grief not only for others but for oneself, palliative care, and more.
