Description of Practice/Services Offered:

I work with clients of all ages, children, adolescents and adults, for anxiety, depression and eating disorders, using cognitive-behavioral therapy (an approach that has clear scientific support with regard to effectiveness and efficiency).  I am also able to provide Maudsley family therapy, schema therapy, behavioral weight loss and DBT skills training with great confidence.

Psychotherapy

I have a particular expertise in treating such conditions as:

  • Anxiety and depression in all ages (children, adolescents and adults) using CBT
  • Eating disorders in all ages (using CBT, DBT, and Maudsley Family Therapy)
  • Pediatric and adult weight management (i.e. behavioral weight loss or post-bariatric counseling)
  • Adjustment disorders and supportive therapy (including schema therapy)

Areas of Research

Family-based treatment for adolescent overweight/obesity; exposure-based treatments for anorexia nervosa and related eating disorders, child and adolescent anxiety disorders.
